Privacy Policy

DMVKids does not ask who you are. There is no sign-in, no account, and nothing about you is sent to us or stored on our servers.

Information we collect

None that identifies you. Specifically:

• No account: the app has no sign-in of any kind, so we hold no name, email address or password.
• Saved events: stored only in your device's local storage. They are never sent to us and we cannot see them.
• Your county choice and preferences: also stored only on your device.
• No analytics or tracking: we run no analytics product, no advertising and no third-party tracking.

Our server receives ordinary web requests when the app loads event listings. Those requests include the county you are browsing and, like any web server, your IP address in the connection itself. We do not use this to build a profile of you.

Calendar and location

• Calendar: "Add to Calendar" writes an event to your device's calendar only after you confirm it in Apple's own dialog. On iOS 17 and later the app requests write-only access, so it cannot read anything already in your calendar. Nothing about your calendar reaches us.
• Location: if you use a "near me" filter, your device provides your location to sort listings on the device. It is not sent to us or stored.

Third-party services

• Google Fonts — loads the Fredoka typeface. Google may log the request. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• unpkg — serves the Leaflet mapping library used by the Adventures map.
• Apple Maps — opens when you tap "Get directions". Apple's privacy policy applies once you leave the app.
• Event organizers — every listing links to the organizer's own website. Their policies apply once you follow a link.

Data retention

We hold no personal data, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Saved events and preferences live on your device and are removed when you delete the app.

Children's privacy

DMVKids is for parents and guardians finding events for their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

We may update this policy. The date of the most recent update appears at the top of this page.
